Secularism came under threat when non BJP governments indulged in blatant minority appeasement. Has the BJP government done anything that favours the majority community? The CAA does include minority communities. Pluralism is a word difficult to understand. Whatever it means, what has been done to harm it?Tolerance is not an one way traffic. Ohhh, yeah, there's a damned good reason, why we obliterate factories and warehouses, and choke off supply lines, during war. There's a reason we devote so much air power, to just that. You are effectively choking off your enemy, by choking out their supply chain. Also, their communications - that's another one.Anyhow, armchair commandos get wrapped up, in the "romance" of war (in quotes, because it is such a silly concept), and have idealized it, to a point where they have the delusion that they are somehow capable of having a part in it, or are at least some sort of expert, by proxy. That romance, that delusion, is fed by the polish and shine the media, Hollywood, and the gaming industry put on war. Both the cause and effect are veneers. UPDATE: Almost forgot, I think the military, itself, contributes to this, by romanticizing military service. At least, the U.S. military, because, it's a volunteer military, meaning they need to look attractive, to attract recruits.
